De Beers Group begins series of demo days to identify innovation partners in the diamond industry
Following the launch of De Beers Group Ventures (“DBGV”) earlier in 2019 (in partnership with RocketSpace), De Beers Group began a series of events in September aimed at identifying the ideas and innovators that can help pioneer a new diamond world.
DBGV’s initial focus is on driving the growth of De Beers Group’s portfolio of brands. Our aim is to use digital experiences to increase awareness of – and enhance digital purchase options for our brands. Key areas of interest are digital experiences, marketing and ad tech, big data analysis, in-store experience and omni-channel marketing.
On 4 and 5 September, De Beers Group invited 14 start-up companies to London to discuss their ideas and businesses on this topic with senior De Beers Group executives. It proved to be a fascinating couple of days engaging with start-up companies, discussing how to put innovation into action and bring ground-breaking ideas to market in the diamond jewellery sector. The pictures give a sense of the vibrancy of the events.
